The third generation Honda CBR600F3 - History repeated itself once again. A new-generation Honda middleweight, the CBR600F3, totally dominated the 600 Supersport class and won the championship, Honda's fourth. Keeping with tradition, F3s swept the series, winning all 11 races. Class champ Miguel Duhamel scored his second 600 title with Honda, and started his historic streak of 10 straight race wins, with eight in a row in 1995 alone.

Some of the more noteable changes for the F3 were a retuned chassis, recalibrated suspension, reconfigured combustion chambers resulting in a higher compression ratio, a new computer controlled ignition and a dual-stage ram-air intake. As a result of these important improvements, the new CBR600F3 could now hammer out over 150 MPH.

In recognition of the teams that brought the bike national racing success in 1995, Honda dressed the new 1996 model in the team colors of Smokin' Joe's Commonwealth Racing and Erion Racing.

The original Honda CBR600F concept, known as the Honda Hurricane through 1987 and 1988, was the platform of today's Honda CBR line. The line has certainly improved over the years but one thing remains the same - Honda has consistently produced high performance, well-bred and affordable sportbikes.
